Celebrate ‘the sweet life’ at King Valley wine and food festival
WINES of the King Valley will host the eternally popular La Dolce Vita wine and food festival this spring, November 19-20.
Visitors are invited to purchase a ticket, which includes a tasting glass to take home, and visit 11 participating wineries throughout the region.
Wineries offer tastings of new release and museum release wines, authentic cuisine prepared by Nonna or a renowned local chef, live music, roving entertainers, competitions, kids’ activities, masterclasses and more.
“This is an opportunity to experience life in the King Valley the way we know it – time with friends, family and great food, in a beautiful setting.
“The chance to discover a new favourite wine is always exciting, too - here you get to speak to the person who grew the grapes and made the wine,” says Alison Lloyd, marketing officer for the group.
“It’s such a lovely day out; I highly recommend using your ticket across both days and trying to visit every one of our eleven unique wineries.”
Participating wineries this year include Brown Brothers, Sam Miranda, Merkel Wines, Symphonia, La Cantina, Dal Zotto, Darling Estate, Pizzini, Politini, Chrismont and Francesco Wines.
The region is well known for its Italian varietal wines, such as prosecco, pinot grigio, arneis, sangiovese and nebbiolo.
The valley offers a great environment for growing high quality wine grapes, as well as an enviable lifestyle enjoyed by the winemaking families.
Children are very welcome, with a range of child-friendly foods and activities such as gelato, face-painting and bocce on the lawns.
Festival tickets are $25 per person, valid both days of the festival. Children play free. Tickets and further information are available at www.winesofthekingvalley.com.au.
