WRITERS FLOCK TO ALBURY
:5,7( Around the Murray, from September 7-11, is celebrating a decade of bringing some of Australia’s best writers to Albury and this year organisers are proud to announce that ABC political commentator Barrie Cassidy, much-loved children’s author Jackie French and the writer of TV’s Offspring Debra Oswald will be among the headline acts.
This year’s festival and schools program features more than 60 events and 30 writers.
Festival co-ordinator Ann-Maree Ellis said 10 years was a great achievement and urged the community to embrace all the festival has to offer.
This year’s festival theme is Unsettling the Story – Memories and Imagination.
