WRITERS FLOCK TO AL­BURY

:5,7( Around the Mur­ray, from Septem­ber 7-11, is cel­e­brat­ing a decade of bring­ing some of Aus­tralia’s best writers to Al­bury and this year or­gan­is­ers are proud to an­nounce that ABC po­lit­i­cal com­men­ta­tor Bar­rie Cas­sidy, much-loved chil­dren’s au­thor Jackie French and the writer of TV’s Off­spring De­bra Oswald will be among the head­line acts.

This year’s fes­ti­val and schools pro­gram fea­tures more than 60 events and 30 writers.

Fes­ti­val co-or­di­na­tor Ann-Ma­ree El­lis said 10 years was a great achieve­ment and urged the com­mu­nity to em­brace all the fes­ti­val has to of­fer.

This year’s fes­ti­val theme is Un­set­tling the Story – Mem­o­ries and Imag­i­na­tion.
