En­joy the 1950s vibe and more in Tal­lan­gatta

THE bouncy, in­fec­tious sounds and sights of yes­ter­year will once again rule Tal­lan­gatta this spring as part of the Tal­lan­gatta Fifties Fes­ti­val on Oc­to­ber 29-30.

With events cov­er­ing ev­ery­thing from mar­kets to mu­sic per­for­mances and dances, and even a show and shine, there will be plenty to do to keep the whole fam­ily amused.

The sched­ule is packed with great per­form­ers, in­clud­ing Wil­bur Wilde and the Trou­ble Mak­ers, and The Rockin Dad­dys.

Vo­cal­ist and sax­man, Wil­bur Wilde has been a fix­ture on the Aus­tralian Rock ‘n’ Roll mu­sic scene since Ol’55 got to­gether in Syd­ney in 1975.

Jo Jo Zep and the Fal­cons oc­cu­pied an­other four years be­fore he joined the cast of Hey Hey It’s Satur­day for six­teen years.

Mean­while, the Rockin Dad­dys are a Mel­bourne based Rock­a­billy band that has quickly be­come one of the most in de­mand Rock­a­billy bands in Aus­tralia.

The band cur­rently com­prises Cliff Jolly (Cliffy) on lead vo­cals, Ben Guest (The Un­der­taker) on lead guitar, Robby Shar­rock (Slap) on slap bass and Frankie Dabaco (Boom Boom) on drums.
