Festival a highlight on Beechworth calendar
VISITORS of all ages make the trip to Beechworth at Easter year after year to enjoy all the fun of the Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival.
The 2017 program will include all the festival favourites including the Grand Parade on Easter Saturday, Bollywood dance performances and workshops and, of course, the Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday.
The Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival is traditionally the biggest annual festival on the Beechworth calendar with plenty of activities that everyone is sure to love, including the Beechworth Bakery & Beechworth Honey Grand Parade, led by a horse shod with golden horseshoes and featuring floats, music and more.
This year, Tubby the Robot will once again be roaming the streets and delighting the crowds, or you can keep an eagle eye on The Stockmen, whose uncanny statue-like performances keep everyone guessing.
You can also see the antics of Magical Mountains, and go on a journey full of singing, dancing and adventure with “Wozza” and his eight Australian animal friends.
Also among the activities is the Beechworth Botanica art exhibition, showcasing the best in fine botanical art from regional and interstate artists (with all artwork for sale) from April 13-21 from 10am-4pm daily at the Town Hall in Ford Street.
There is plenty going on to please the whole family, so for more information see the festival website at www.beechworthgoldenhorseshoes. com.au or follow the festival’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
GOOD TIMES: The Grand Parade is one of the highlights of the Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival.
