Founded in 2013 by flautist Eric Lamb and cel­list Martin Rum­mel, the Vi­enna-based En­sem­ble Pal­adino (na­tion­wide, March 31-April 21) was cre­ated “to present un­com­pro­mis­ing, di­verse and fear­less cham­ber mu­sic on the high­est level”. It It’ss a fluid, or­ganic group, all mem­bers renowned so soloists in their own right. On this tour, Lamb a and Rum­mel team with Si­mone Roggen ( (vi­olin) and James Tib­bles (harp­si­chord/ fo fortepi­ano) to show­case the works of Van­hal and Pleyel – con­tem­po­raries of Haydn and Mozart – as well as pieces by Bach and Mozart, and a new com­po­si­tion by Leonie Holmes.
