THE SINGLE DAD’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY: PARENTING IN THE REAL WORLD

ROGER MCEWAN (PALMERSTON PRESS, $29.99)

North & South - - Review -

Mcewan was an active and involved father even before his marriage ended and he found himself confronting the intricacies of sharedcare single parenting. Fortunately, he has a PHD in management, something many single parents would say they have earned without writing a thesis.

He claims this isn’t a self-help book, yet it’s practical, directional and very helpful on issues from housekeeping and eating to starting school and bachelor behaviour. Which makes The Single Dad’s Guide to the Galaxy perfect for anyone who’d appreciate some wise advice on the reality of that most difficult of all undertakings: being a parent.
