Colour Dash to help youth men­tal health

The Town of Port Hed­land is part­ner­ing up with Hed­land Youth Stake­hold­ers Ac­tion Group to raise aware­ness for youth men­tal health at the 2017 Colour Dash on October 14 at Marie Mar­land Oval, South Hed­land, as part of Men­tal Health Week.

There will be lots of dif­fer­ent sta­tions with coloured pow­der, gi­ant ob­sta­cle cour­ses, wa­ter pools, a spray-down, free re­fresh­ments, a DJ and guest speak­ers. There will also be in­for­ma­tion, re­sources and ma­te­ri­als re­lat­ing to men­tal health sup­port at the event.

The free event is open to par­tic­i­pants aged six to 18.

Wear old cloth­ing which you do not mind get­ting “coloured up”. There will be some free white shirts avail­able on the day. Thank you to ma­jor spon­sors Fortes­cue, Roy Hill, Good­line and Hori­zon Power and sup­port­ers Coles, Cen­tu­rion, RGR, Toxfree, Cer­van Marine and Los Tres for mak­ing this event pos­si­ble.
