Five Pil­bara or­gan­i­sa­tions and peo­ple are fi­nal­ists in the 2018 Com­mu­nity Ser­vices Ex­cel­lence Awards.

The awards, pre­sented by the WA Coun­cil of So­cial Ser­vice, recog­nise the work of or­gan­i­sa­tions and peo­ple in the com­mu­nity ser­vices sec­tor who have made a pos­i­tive dif­fer­ence to peo­ple, fam­i­lies and com­mu­ni­ties through in­no­va­tive and cre­ative prac­tice.

Blood­wood Tree As­so­ci­a­tion, Youth In­volve­ment Coun­cil and Gu­mala Abo­rig­i­nal Cor­po­ra­tion join YIC’s Vicki-Tree Stephens and New­man Women’s Shel­ter Mag­gie Lewis as fi­nal­ists across four cat­e­gories.

Win­ners will be an­nounced on Wed­nes­day, May 2 in Perth.
