Woman dis­charged from hos­pi­tal

A 45-year-old woman has been dis­charged from hos­pi­tal, a week af­ter an in­ci­dent which may have in­volved a po­lice car in South Hed­land.

The woman, who was dis­charged from Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal on Oc­to­ber 25, was re­cov­er­ing from se­ri­ous leg in­juries, pos­si­bly frac­tures, af­ter the in­ci­dent about 7.40pm on Oc­to­ber 18.

The ma­jor crash in­ves­ti­ga­tion unit, over­seen by the in­ter­nal af­fairs unit is still in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent in which of­fi­cers pa­trolling the area found the in­jured woman.

First aid was ren­dered at the in­ter­sec­tion of Wise Ter­race and McLarty Boule­vard, be­fore she was taken to Hed­land Health Cam­pus with sus­pected frac­tures to her legs and flown by the Royal Fly­ing Doc­tor Ser­vice to Perth. Ear­lier that night an­other pa­trol car felt a bump while driv­ing, but the oc­cu­pants be­lieved they had hit the kerb.
