Charges laid af­ter out-of-con­trol party

South Hed­land po­lice ar­rested two peo­ple for al­leged dis­or­derly be­hav­iour and re­fus­ing to leave the premises dur­ing an out-of­con­trol party on Lim­pet Cres­cent in the early hours of last Satur­day morn­ing.

A noise com­plaint was re­ceived and po­lice spokesman Paul Thomas said of­fi­cers were called about 1.40am to at­tend the scene.

Of­fi­cers then called for backup af­ter be­ing con­fronted by a hos­tile crowd of about 40 peo­ple.

The de­ci­sion was made to shut down the party for the safety of the po­lice of­fi­cers as they de­ployed riot gear and shields.

Par­ty­go­ers were even­tu­ally dis­persed and po­lice al­lege rocks and bot­tles were thrown at of­fi­cers. Two peo­ple are due to face court.

The home owner and part host has also been ques­tioned by po­lice.
