Tim says… I ex­plained to Ross that work­ing out the ex­po­sure at night is dif­fi­cult be­cause the cam­era’s light me­ter will be con­fused by all the pin­point light sources among large ar­eas of inky black­ness. It’s much bet­ter to set the cam­era to man­ual and use trial and er­ror, check­ing im­ages on the LCD dis­play as you take them and ad­just­ing the ex­po­sure if nec­es­sary.
