The sen­sor can see in the dark (al­most), but you still need to be able to see the con­trols

LCD dis­play

This is the same 3.2-inch, 921k-dot screen used on the D4, but now you can ad­just the colour

De­sign tweaks

The grip, mem­ory card door and some con­trols have been re­worked for bet­ter han­dling com­pared to the D4

Ver­ti­cal shoot­ing

The shut­ter re­lease and com­mand di­als are du­pli­cated for eas­ier shoot­ing in por­trait ori­en­ta­tion
