Restau­rant kitchens are busy, and not usu­ally the most pho­to­genic places in which to take pic­tures. This is the clas­sic ap­proach: shoot­ing the chef putting the fin­ish­ing touches to a plate as he passes it to the wait­ing staff. The dif­fi­culty with this shot was to get the light bal­anced be­tween the plate and the face of our chef – and to en­sure his head could be seen clearly through the shelves.
