Hyperfocal distance

Useful for maximising depth of field with wide-angles, this is the focus distance at which everything from half the focus distance to infinity will be in focus in the image. It varies with focal length and aperture.

Angle of view

Manufacturers typically quote the angle of view on the diagonal, as this is the largest number, but it can also be stated as a horizontal or vertical measurement.
