Bruce says… My Sekonic flash me­ter is not pri­mar­ily for work­ing out the ex­po­sure for the shots. In­stead, I use it to mea­sure the con­trast range – see­ing how the ex­po­sure varies across the from frame, one side of the face to an­other, and from the head to the toes. This gives me an idea of the light fall off, and the amount of shad­ows, so I ad­just the light­ing to suit the type of shot.
