Bruce says… These sheets of white polystyrene make great reflectors in the studio. They come in 8x4ft blocks and can be bought at builders’ merchants. You paint one side black, so this can be used to flag your lights, or to cut down reflections from shiny surfaces. The edges get broken easily, so I advise covering these with carpet tape. If you tape two together they become a freestanding L-shape; or you can make a bookendstyle holder as the studio has done here.
