Soft winter switzerland

-

This is one of the best examples I have of creating movement within the design of a photograph. I was camped next to this lake for three days on the snow and I had nothing but time to look for my perfect arrangement of elements. When I finally found this spot (I was within 20 feet of it the entire time) everything just clicked. Notice how the eye follows the snow into the shot and then moves over to the left before coming back across to the main subject of the Matterhorn. The half second exposure is made possible using my trusty Really Right Stuff tripod and ball head.
