On cloudy days, ig­nore sweep­ing land­scapes or cityscapes and shoot more close-ups and por­traits. If the weather is dra­mat­i­cally bad then make it the sub­ject. Peo­ple’s in­ter­ac­tions with bad weather can make for evoca­tive shots. Avoid ex­pos­ing your Nikon to rain if pos­si­ble. I al­ways have an Optech dis­pos­able rainsleeve in my bag, but will pack a Kata Rain­cover if I ex­pect ex­treme weather.
