When you changes lenses on the road, there is a good chance of getting dust inside the camera and onto the sensor. This will cause marks on your pictures. There are a number of solutions to avoid this. You can retouch shots automatically by shooting a Dust Reference Photo, but this will only work if you process your NEFs using Capture NX2. If you use a DX body, then the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G is a great travel lens, reducing the need to change lenses. Many Nikons have a clean image sensor function. These are quite effective, but as a travel photographer you will occasionally need to clean your sensor. If a blower brush doesn’t shift the dirt, I use a VisibleDust Arctic Butterfly Sensor Brush to lift off stubborn crud.
