Rem brandt lighting
Named after the great painter who used it often with his portraits, ‘Rembrandt lighting’ is a method for illuminating a face with directional light. Position a light source above and slightly to one side of the face and, when you’re at the right angle, the shadow of the nose creates an attractive triangle of light. If you want to get technical about it, the triangular line should go towards the corner of the mouth and be no longer than the nose.
