Al­though you’ll spend more time than you prob­a­bly an­tic­i­pated car­ry­ing out non-cre­ative mar­ket­ing and ad­min when you start a pho­tog­ra­phy busi­ness, you shouldn’t waste a photo op­por­tu­nity. “This is one of my lat­est favourite im­ages,” says Richard Peters. “When­ever I have the op­por­tu­nity I like to try and cap­ture fa­mil­iar sub­jects in light­ing con­di­tions I’ve not pho­tographed them in be­fore. This can help cre­ate won­der­ful moody at­mos­pheres that help your pho­to­graphs stand out from the rest.”
