How can I scan old APS-format films?

Chris says… Not many film scanners were compatible with APS film. The Konica Minota DiMage Scan Dual IV, the Fujifilm AS-1 and the Canon Canoscan 4000 were three of the best, and you may find one on eBay.

You could take the film from its cartridge, cut the negatives into sections, then scan them on a flatbed scanner, or rephotograph them using a D-SLR, macro lens and a lightbox. There are also scanning firms that can do the job for you.
