You can use the same shut­ter speeds for he­li­copters as you would for fixed-wing pro­pel­lor air­craft. This will give just the right amount of blur in the tail ro­tor and a hint of move­ment in the main ro­tor – though th­ese spin at a much slower speed, so you would need im­prac­ti­cally slow shut­ter speeds to get the same kind of ‘spin­ning’ ef­fect that you see in aero­plane pro­pel­lor blades.
