This is a pro-level 2560x1440, 27-inch IPS display. You certainly pay for its capabilities. It can pivot and swivel, and can be calibrated using the included ColorNavigator software and a colorimeter. Colour reproduction is terrific. You can set the monitor to several modes, and adjust the brightness up to 300 candelas per square metre. There are DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI inputs, plus two USB ports.

The downside is two-fold: this monitor is remarkably expensive, it looks extremely old fashioned, and it’s chunky (it weighs 13kg). We also disliked the basic menu system.

Pros: Excellent for keeping colours consistent.

Cons: Expensive and ugly, its looks don’t match its price.

We say: For the actual process of editing, it can’t be faulted.

Once this monitor is calibrated, a built-in selfcorrection sensor will check and adjust it periodically
