Per­form speedy fixes us­ing the Photo Fix Op­tions panel in El­e­ments’ Or­ga­nizer

It’s likely that most of your photographs will re­quire a few post-pro­duc­tion tweaks to look their best. It’s lit­tle dif­fer­ent to the way a tra­di­tional roll of film re­quires pro­cess­ing in a dark­room, per­haps with a lit­tle dodg­ing or burn­ing, to get the most from the nega­tives.

There are many rea­sons our shots may not turn out quite the way we hoped. Cam­eras tend to strug­gle to re­veal de­tail in high-con­trast light­ing,

The Photo Fix Op­tions panel en­ables you to over­come typ­i­cal photo prob­lems with­out need­ing to delve more deeply into other edit­ing modes such as Ex­pert, Quick or Guided

so some ar­eas in a scene may be over- or un­der-ex­posed. Cam­eras can also strug­gle to bal­ance the colour tem­per­a­tures pro­duced by dif­fer­ent light­ing, so your shots may suf­fer from warm orange or cold blue colour casts. Plus, you may not have com­posed your shots in the way you wished to, or you may have failed to spot a dis­tract­ing ob­ject at the edge of the frame.
