An­drew as­sumed that the smaller the aper­ture, the greater the depth of field, and there­fore the sharper the shot, but David ex­plained that all lenses have a so-called ‘sweet spot’, of­ten around f/8 or f/11, when they’re at their sharpest. David tends to set an aper­ture of around f/13 for most land­scape images.
