Nikon Wireless Remote Controller Set £200, $185
The main elements of this kit are a WR-T10 transmitter and a WR-R10 transceiver, enabling connectivity to cameras with MC-DC2 accessory terminals. A WR-R10 adaptor is included, enabling connection to bodies with 10-pin terminals. If you don’t need this, it’s cheaper to buy the WR-T10 and WR-R10 separately.
Two operating buttons on the WR-T10 include a two-stage shutter button and a Fn button; the latter is only compatible with the D7100, D600, D800 and other cameras launched after the release of the WR-T10. The claimed operating range of 20 metres is the shortest of all the RF remotes on test, and the kit struggles more than any other to fire through obstacles. Additional WR-R10 transceivers enable you to fire multiple cameras at an extended range of up to 50 metres apart.
