Formatt-Hitech has teamed up with pro photographer Colby Brown to create this kit of essential landscape filters. A soft graduated ND4 filter keeps bright skies in check, while if you’re shooting a very low sunset, the ND4 reverse grad features a flipped graduation to block most light across a bright horizon. Both deliver great results with no cast, and the 100mm circular polariser also performs flawlessly.

Finally there’s the ProStop IRND 6, which reduces light transfer by six stops. It’s marketed as the world’s most neutral ND thanks to its ability to filter visible and infra-red light; however our test example introduced an obvious blue colour shift. A replacement was far better, though, hopefully indicating an isolated issue with an otherwise excellent kit.
