The old adage about ‘tak­ing only pho­tos, leav­ing only foot­prints’ def­i­nitely doesn’t ap­ply to seascapes, as Jayne ex­plains: “Leav­ing foot­prints in an area of sand that you’re about to shoot is a car­di­nal sin, es­pe­cially if there are other pho­tog­ra­phers with you! This is even more im­por­tant if the tide is go­ing out, as the in­com­ing waves are un­likely to wash them away un­til it comes back in again, which could be hours later.”
