Perfect light

I have been using Nikon equipment for 35 years and never had a problem. I currently use a D300 and D5000 and they are fantastic! Because of age I now concentrate on photographing flora. Fortunately my wife is a keen gardener.

This church shot [see right] has a little history: Perth is undergoing such massive development at present that it resembles a huge building site. I had long wanted to photograph the cathedral but on this day access was only possible via a side entry. The church was empty and the light perfect. Michael Flacks, Perth, Western Australia That’s a really nice shot of the cathedral, Michael: you’ve done well to avoid the worst of converging verticals, and you’ve captured plenty of details, even in the windows – they often blow out as the contrast between dark church interiors and the bright light
