James Birtwistle decided to start selling his images: here’s how he did it
I’ve travelled the world working as a sound recordist, and I decided I needed a camera of my own after years of asking colleagues with cameras to take photos for me. I worked my way up through point-andshoots and then a bridge camera, and at the end of 2013 I decided I could justify buying a Nikon D7100.
By the end of last year I thought it was time to find an audience for my work, and a local arts and crafts fair seemed like a good place to begin. I’d visited an event organised by Creative Exchange, so I had a good idea of the kind of work
