The huge ISO range avail­able on most D-SLRs means leav­ing the cam­era on auto can give you vastly dif­fer­ent re­sults shot-to-shot. If you’re shoot­ing in­doors you know the light will be limited, so opt for a set­ting above 3200 and adapt as nec­es­sary.
