Char­lie says… While a tele­photo view won’t make the viewer feel like they were right there with you in the land­scape, it can be a good op­tion if a wider im­age just isn’t work­ing. How­ever, try to re­sist the temp­ta­tion to zoom in just be­cause you find the wide shot a bit over­whelm­ing or tricky to com­pose. With tele­photo land­scapes, you need to look for re­la­tion­ships be­tween the dif­fer­ent el­e­ments: pat­terns, shapes and lines, and even com­ple­men­tary colours can all be used to give im­ages an or­dered, graphic feel.
