While the subject of this image is clear, and there’s masses of detail, it nonetheless has a strong geometric feel. Lines in the crops drag your eyes down the hill, the hay bales have definite cylindrical shapes (given form and texture by the raking, low, light) plus strong shadows, and the bay and patch of open sky above it create curves that direct your eye inwards. Everything points towards the brightest point, the sun. Great composition.
