Lenovo ThinkPad T460s

The ThinkPad T-series boasts a no-nonsense design with a focus on robustness over style. Even so, the T460s’ 18.8mm thickness is within 1mm of the MacBook, and it’s lighter at 1.4kg. You also get the best keyboard and trackpad here.
But despite having an identical processor to the Surface Book, the T460s’ Cinebench score was the slowest on test. A lacklustre five hours 18 minutes battery life makes it doubly disappointing, though the SSD storage does manage to outperform even the Chillblast, and it really perks up general usage. While the Full HD screen looks good in isolation, colour saturation and contrast are more muted than on its rivals, and it’s less crisp. On the upside, it’s got the rare addition of an anti-reflective coating.
Excellent build and ergonomics; fast SSD; matte screen; thin & light
Slow processor; relatively average viewing experience and battery life
Good, but the same money can buy you a better screen and more power Overall score
It’s no photo editing wonder, but good portability and a great keyboard make it a decent general purpose machine
