Pro’s Killer Kit

Pan-tilt head

-

Many hobbyists stick their Nikon on top of their monopod with no moving head. The trouble with this is that when you’re following a bike along the track you’ll get stuck at 90 degrees and be unable to adjust your angle. By combining a monopod with a tilting pan head, you can track bikes through the bends. Your camera can pan and tilt back or forward at the same time, so you can be more fluid in your movements as the bike comes into the corner, as it turns and as it rides out of the corner – yielding a higher hit rate and more photos to choose from.
