Our Apprentice says…

This shot focused heavily on the creative use of shutter speed. It was very difficult to get right, and Gary and I came back to this corner twice throughout the day. I was battling to get the biker in focus but keep everything else blurred. To compound this difficulty, I also had to frame out the cars that were parked up behind the bend, which you can see a little of at the top of the frame here. But by picking this high corner I managed to remove most of the distractions, and almost filled the frame with nothing but bike and mud.
