Name Ei­nar Gud­mann Cam­era Nikon D4s Ei­nar is a full-time pro­fes­sional pho­tog­ra­pher and au­thor who spe­cialises in the wild an­i­mals and scenery of Ice­land. His work with Ice­land’s En­vi­ron­ment Agency has helped in­form his knowl­edge of the coun­try’s land­scapes, and reg­u­lar read­ers will recog­nise him as The Pro from our Ice­land land­scapes Ap­pren­tice in is­sue 57. THE APRRENTICE Name Sig­ur­jón Ei­nars­son Cam­era Nikon D810

Sig­ur­jón took up pho­tog­ra­phy at the age of 39, and af­ter five years of us­ing en­try-level gear he up­graded to a D800. He longed to shoot wildlife, but first he had to learn how to find the an­i­mals he wanted to pho­to­graph – some­thing that’s not al­ways easy in Ice­land’s un­for­giv­ing land­scape. He has a good se­lec­tion of lenses and loves his tele­pho­tos, but that’s not all Sig­ur­jón used for this shoot…
