It’s won­der­ful to see such unique night-time pho­tographs, Bran­don. What’s so im­pres­sive is not just the way you’ve man­aged to cap­ture great shots of the stars and the Milky Way, which is tricky to pull off at the best of times, but the pur­pose­ful way in which you’ve man­aged to in­cor­po­rate the hu­man figures in the land­scape. You clearly have an eye for de­tail, and the light­ing and the in­clu­sion of fore­ground el­e­ments are es­pe­cially ef­fec­tive. The rail tracks in the Wall Street Mill shot, for in­stance, pro­vide a real sense of place, and in­stead of wear­ing a big heavy over­coat, the figure is dressed in some­thing you might ex­pect an in­spec­tor of the mill
