Mode button

Typical of most pro-grade Nikon D-SLRs, a Mode button replaces the usual shooting mode dial. As you’d expect in this class, scene shooting modes are absent.

Dual controls

Along with its built-in vertical grip, the D3x sports duplicated shutter release buttons and command/ sub-command dials for natural shooting in both portrait and landscape orientation.

Battery compartment

The battery compartment accommodates a huge EN-EL4a battery, which manages up to 4,400 shots between charges.
