sync speed

Fiona says… Laura had set a shutter speed of 1/250 sec, but was getting a dark band in her images; this was the shutter curtain moving across the frame, and I explained that the shutter speed needed to be slower to sync with the lights; 1/125 sec enabled it to remain open long enough for the entire exposure. I also suggested setting ISO to 200, as this would enable her to use the lights on a lower power.
