In 2003, while studying photojournalism in Sheffield, Leon won The Times Young Photographer of the Year scholarship.

After two years on The Times, Leon joined Agence France-Presse (AFP), where he remained for nine years before joining Getty in 2016.

Major assignments include the Olympics in London and Rio, the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, numerous Glastonbury Festivals and the Zombie Evacuation Race.

His dedication paid off in 2015 when he was named a Nikon UK Ambassador.
