Aspect Ratio

This term refers to the shape of the cropped shot. Capture NX-D’s Crop Properties box has a range of preset crop shapes designed to suit a range of possible destinations. If you plan to share a shot via Instagram then you’ll find the 1:1 aspect ratio useful, as that creates a square crop. Alternatively, you may have a 5:4 picture frame that you want to display a photo in. Custom enables you to choose your own aspect ratio.
