HOT SHOT #3
EXPOSURE 1/1000 sec, f/5, ISO250 LENS 70-200mm f/2.8
Our Apprentice says… There were so many types of boat it was hard to keep up! This slalom kayak was longer, with a sharper bow, than the others I had been shooting earlier on in the day. This presented its own problems; because it was longer I found it tough keeping the whole boat in focus. But Jack reminded me that I needn’t do this, and told me: “The focus should be on the kayaker, so get the autofocus point on them.” I made sure that the front of the boat was included in its entirety in the frame, but the front fell out of focus.
