Colour gels

Pho­tog­ra­phy gels are just coloured sheets of ac­etate that you can cut up and place over flash and stu­dio lights. They’re of­ten cal­i­brated to pro­vide light of a set colour or colour tem­per­a­ture, but you can get a sim­i­lar ef­fect with the coloured wrap­pers from Qual­ity Street choco­lates, or any translu­cent film.
