I feel you only partly answered the question raised by Peter Power in N-Photo 72 (page 92). Peter said the top panel of his D7100 remains live even when the camera is switched off. If that is the case there is obviously a fault with his camera, surely? Dave Barker via email Peter was talking about the [XXX] counter that displays on the top screen when the camera is turned off, and wondered if this would deplete his battery. This is normal on all Nikons and we can confirm it’s not due to a fault on Peter’s Nikon.
