Is there anything that you always take with you that your fellow photographers may find unusual, but you find are essential for going into a war zone?

If we’re talking about a war zone, then headlamp, hiking boots, protein bars, obviously body armour. I also take medication, Ibuprofen – big 600mg Ibuprofen in case I get injured – paracetamol, a medical kit, a first aid kit, my running clothes and running shoes.

I always bring my running shoes, my workout clothes. I try to always workout, even in my hotel room, if there’s no gym or I’m in a place where women can’t jog in public. I have workouts on my iPad that I workout to in my hotel room, so I’m pretty fanatical about that.

Oh, and coffee! Instant coffee and creamer.
