In bright day­light try pho­tograph­ing sub­jects un­der the shade of a tree, as light in the shade is more flat­ter­ing. The hard-baked yel­low earth acts as a nat­u­ral re­flec­tor, bounc­ing warm light into the shade to fill out the shad­ows. As well as pro­vid­ing use­ful shade, trees can also make for strong shapes in wider com­po­si­tions.
