“In my opinion, the thing that differentiates a good photographer from a great storyteller and a great photographer is the idea of making a complete work. You study the subject, you know it very well, and then you develop a storybook before going to the place. I’m not a very good artist but I do sketches sometimes to pre-visualize, and then write my idea on paper. It gives you a plan of what to do, the to-do-list before a trip and – this is really important – it helps you to become a real professional and different to the other ones.”
