THE technologically advanced new Honda VFR 1200 has just become better value.

Honda Australia has added a top box and pannier system valued at $3185 with every new standard and dual-clutch models.

While dealers report sales as slow, Honda Australia motorcycles marketing manager Glyn Griffiths defends the promotion.

‘‘We have value added the VFR1200 manual and auto version to help encourage customers to come and consider the VFR1200 if they are in the market for this style of motorcycle and price bracket,’’ he says.

‘‘We are naturally trying to have a competitive edge over our competitors with this promotion and also not to harm the pricing on this model, both new and secondhand.’’

Honda’s VFR 1200 promotion runs until the end of the year.

The VFR1200, with ABS standard, is listed at $24,990 with an extra $1000 for the dualclutch manual/auto transmission model.
